Countless people live in unspeakable conditions around the world. eXtremis is a documentary series that exposes their plight for all to see. Rounding out the first five films in the series are three new compelling documentaries: Disobedience, Acts of Men and Run for Your Life.
Why make such troubling films? Simply to prevent comfort and indifference from shrouding our collective judgment. To keep our eyes, minds, and hearts open to the world around us.
And then what? How to overcome the feeling of helplessness before the harsh realities in eXtremis? Through information and action on eXtremis.tv The eXtremis Website offers a comprehensive documentary section (video excerpts and still photos), a weekly news review (international and national news stories, NGO and public studies, etc.), complementary interviews and a complete learning section for educators.

The daily grind getting you down? Look again. We inventive, busy-as-a-beaver human beings are literally surrounded by and inundated with astoundingly interesting objects and processes. All those supposedly ho-hum things we encounter every day and that many of us take for granted actually have fascinating scientific tales to tell, if we just probe beneath the surface a little and ask: What’s that about?
The interactive media aspect proposes to focus on iTV applications that will enable viewers to learn while having fun. Users can thus view interactive capsules in flash animation about the objects that are the show’s highlights. Thanks to 3D animations, viewers can better understand how objects work. They can even participate in the experiments offered, answer mini-quizzes, and play games testing their knowledge of the subjects taught. A highly interactive experience!

Available through high speed Internet, illico interactive television (TVI) or SMS technology, R2I’s news reports are different from the TV show’s, but respect the same delinquent treatment: news, interviews, and exclusive information. Deux filles le matin is a TV magazine made for contemporary women. With a mix of good mood and practical information, our hosts France Beaudoin, France Castel, Julie Bélanger and the invited guest touch on our preoccupations, our ambitions as well as the little and not so little things that bring happiness into our daily lives. The range of topics covered is boundless. It is the sensitive, dynamic, pertinent and sound process that the hosts, their guest and all of the collaborators and experts make of these topics that help viewers better understand life and appreciate its unexpected surprises.
Deux filles le matin is now wide open to its audience thanks to its new interactive Website. In addition to offering a mega-directory of all references mentioned during the show, the Website goes beyond the content of the show by offering every week an exhaustive report on three topics covered during the show. These reports are enriched with discussion among the audience through online forums and allow them to chat with experts invited to the show. Furthermore, the results of instant surveys on the site will be regularly picked up on the air by our hosts. Let’s not forget the special projects allowing our viewers to get directly involved in the unfolding of the show.
